SKALAR® X3000® - High performance for high-strength materials

The modified cutting material X3000® enables precise cutting of high-strength materials and special alloys. This cutting material, available exclusively from WIKUS, offers even greater tooth tip hardness and wear resistance, along with exceptional toughness compared to M42 cutting material.

The bimetal band saw blade SKALAR® X3000®, combined with the backing strip made of heat-treated alloy steel, achieves outstanding continuous running properties.

As with all SKALAR® band saws, the high cutting performance of SKALAR® X3000® band saws is due to the special properties of the cutting material, specially adapted tooth geometry, slightly increased positive rake angle, and optimized setting sequence.

In addition, greater stability of the base material contributes to longer tool life, especially when sawing difficult-to-cut high-alloy materials, such as forged and hardened tool steels with tensile strength over 1000 N/mm².
