• The company WIKUS is expanding its range of coated bandsaw blades with the new product CUBOGRIT®, which uses cubic boron nitride (CBN) as the cutting material. Cubic boron nitride is the second hardest known material, characterized by high hardness and strength, as well as thermal and chemical resistance. Due to these properties, CUBOGRIT® bandsaw blades are ideal for the reliable processing of hardened iron materials and hard alloys, as well as hard alloys produced by 3D printing. With CUBOGRIT® blades, it is now possible to economically saw even the hardest alloys with a hardness of up to 70 HRC.
• The special properties of the carrier materials, developed for WIKUS, are ideally suited to the stresses caused by extremely high cutting speeds.
