AUTOMATIC BATCH LOADING
The infeed cross transports can be fully loaded with angles for an automatic, continuous production flow. When production files are loaded the system automatically separates the angle bar and moves the first angle towards the roller conveyor. A powered system feeds material to the V505-160M while your operator can work on stocking or loading the infeed cross transport or other tasks for a longer period of time as long as the machine is stocked with enough material buffered on the infeed side.
FULLY AUTOMATED MATERIAL INFEED
A powered material infeed system moves the angle forward and transfers it to the roller feed measuring system. This powered material infeed is a required unit in combination with the automatic infeed cross transport and automatic outfeed systems to make the entire system fully automated. Even in basic V505-160M configurations adding the powered material infeed system can simplify your operator’s tasks and improve labor efficiency.

An automatic outfeed system can be added to the V505M punching and shearing machine to complete the fully automatic production cycle. The system has a liftable conveyor section for dropping short pieces behind the shear in a bin, and a motorized unit to release longer products from the machine on a tilting conveyor that can drop the parts in one of two outfeed positions.

Minimal manual tool changes
The V505-160M is equipped with two double punch units (one for each flange) and automatic punch selection, which prevents manual tool changes during production in most cases. This leads to higher productivity and less operator intervention.
Increased speed with hydraulic numbering
A hydraulic part numbering unit comes standard with the V505M. The 36-character circular disc can be rotated to stamp part numbers and letters for easier identification during further production.

FEATURES AND PROCESSES
Punching which is by far the cheapest and fastest process to create holes has a distinctive character compared to milling, drilling and cutting. Punching is allowed for most projects within certain boundaries and if your production parts show relatively little variation in thicknesses, hole sizes, shapes and material types, punching will likely be the most preferable process. Voortman punching machines have tool holders with multiple punches and dies, which increases versatility and hole quality and reduces your downtime due to tool changes.
